Ever thought of trying your hand at a bit of off-road Quad Trekking or Biking? This is a great sport for all weathers and ages.
New in May 2008 West Cork quad Adventures provides fun and entertainment for all the family just 10 minutes from Glandore. The trekking area is set in thirty acres of wooded and rugged countryside in Bluid, Castlewownshend, with tracks set out for those who like the freedom of the bike over gentler terrain, or for the more experienced biker who will thrill in the hilly ground, over obstacles, water and the ultimate challenge, the dugout.
All groups begin on level fields, so the novice has time to become accustomed to this most popular of off-roads sports. Trained instructors will also be on hand to advise and guide you as to the routes and speed most suitable to your experience and skills. Bikes are available for adults and children over six years. Quad biking is an action-packed and fun way to discover the thrill of negotiating an all terrain vehicle over cross country trails.
The adventure centre will open from April to September inclusive. During peak months of July and August the centre aims to open seven days a week with the rest of the year at weekends.
